GOV. RITTER STATEMENT ON SENATOR FITZ-GERALD'S RESIGNATION
Gov. Bill Ritter issued the following statement today regarding the resignation of Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald:
"It has been a privilege to serve with Joan Fitz-Gerald in state government this year. I have benefited from her leadership, and the people of Colorado have benefited from her vision, her commitment to public service and her judgment. She deserves much praise for her dedication to a host of important issues, from open-space acquisition to bark-beetle eradication to forging a bi-partisan consensus around Referendum C. I wish her nothing but the best."
