The WINNER for April occurred about 50 miles east of the radar and became quite impressive as a persistent(2+ hours life cycle) Supercell was detected crossing Newton County on the evening of the 4th. The Cross Section below reflects the most intense portion of it's life span. VILs peaked at 64 kg/m*m, and the tilted weak Mesocyclone is evident in the Reflectivity Cross Section as analyzed by the Table Algorithms. The Table images below were taken 20 minutes apart and indicate the cyclical nature of these type of storms. Hail at least the size of quarters and some tree damage occurred with this storm.
