Releases

The Title VIII program, administered by the U.S. Department of State, seeks to build expertise on Russia, Eurasia, and Central and East Europe through support to national organizations in the U.S. for advanced research, language and graduate training, and other activities conducted domestically and on-site. Grants under this program are awarded through an open, national competition among applicant organizations. Application information gets posted at Grants.gov.

Authority for this Program for Research and Training on Eastern Europe and the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union is contained in the Soviet-Eastern European Research and Training Act of 1983 (22 U.S.C. 4501-4508, as amended).
