The Senior Prescription Drug Assistance Program (SPDAP)

This program charges participants a non-refundable $50 fee each year.  SPDAP began before Medicare Part D went into effect. Since then, the Legislature also approved the new FREE Oregon Prescription Drug Program.

The Senior Prescription Drug Assistance Program (SPDAP) allows members of the program to purchase prescription drugs from participating pharmacies at the State Medicaid rate.

The SPDAP is administered by the DHS Office of Medical Assistance Programs (OMAP). However, it is not a Medicaid program, and SPDAP members are not Medicaid clients.
