A listing of Polish portals and Web sites that provide links to resources relating to education. Extensive lists of colleges and universities are available through such portals such as BRAINTRACK which links to universities; and General Education Online. The University of Oulu, in Finland, provides a listing of the Best Indices of Colleges and Universities World-wide.

The Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education, produces the ERIC database, which contains more than 1.2 million citations going back to 1966. More than 100,000 full-text non-journal documents (issued since 1993) are available in .pdf format.



General Resources

A Guide to Graduate Programmes in Arts, Business, Economics, Engineering, Humanities, Management, and Science. Describes the structure of the educational system, admissions to higher education and recognition of foreign credentials, student life, and international cooperation and exchanges.

Information on the Polish national education system and links to institutes of higher education, including universities, technical universities, agricultural academies, economic academies, teacher education schools, academies of physical education, and public higher vocational schools. Information on Polish studies at U.S. colleges and universities, opportunities to study abroad, and resources for American teachers and students, as well as a directory of scholars with transnational Polish and American interests, and annotated links to Poland-related information. Kosciuszko Foundation (http://www.kosciuszkofoundation.org)
Maintained by the New York-based Kosciuszko Foundation, which promotes educational and cultural exchanges between the United States and Poland. Information about the foundation, cultural events, books, grants and scholarships, and summer programs abroad, as well as links to other organizations.

Discusses the school's departments and centers, staff and students, activities, and library and archive resources. Links to a directory of Internet resources on central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, and to other related sites.
