This site recommends classroom materials, lesson plans, and faculty guides on Asia for educators. Materials can be viewed by subject areas, type (including central themes, maps, primary sources, and statistics), and by time period. It also features units on Asian culture and history.

Contains an overview of the site, which keeps track of leading information facilities in the field of Asian studies. Gives a breakdown by country for facilities. Includes instructions on submitting information to the archive.

A gateway to current information, news, and classroom resources on everything Asian for grades K-12. The extensive section for teachers includes instructional resources, including lesson plans, plus professional development information. Also includes a selection of the latest news stories on Asian topics, maps and statistics of Asian countries, and a dictionary.

International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS)

The International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) is a postdoctoral research center based in Leiden and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Its main objective is to encourage the study of Asia and to promote national and international cooperation in this field. IIAS covers the geographical areas of South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Central Asia. The Institute focuses on the humanities and the social sciences and, where relevant, on their interaction with other sciences.
