Statewide Infrastructure Inventory
Report to the 2008 Oregon Legislature

Background
The 2007 Legislature included budget notes in the Oregon Economic & Community Development Department's 2007-09 Budget which asked the 13 Regional Investment Boards to develop an inventory of the priority infrastructure (and other capital improvement) needs for their respective regions, in accordance with priority criteria established by the Oregon Economic & Community Development Commission.

A web-based system was development by the department for organizations to enter information about their infrastructure and other capital improvement projects. The deadline for entering information into the system was November 15, 2007.

By November 30, the Regional Investment Boards will submit the regional infrastructure inventories to the department. In accordance with the budget notes, the commission will then consolidate the regional inventories into a statewide inventory, which will be used to prepare a funding request for the Legislature to consider during the February 2008 Legislative Session.

In addition to the Legislature's use of the inventory, the department will, along with other funding criteria, use the inventory as a guide for funding projects from its infrastructure programs.

Viewing the data
Each region's infrastructure needs can be viewed by entering a user name and password into the web-based system. In the coming months, the department will be adding several report options to the system which will allow the data to be filtered and sorted.
