Women with Disabilities' Entrepreneurship Project

Evelyn, owner of Sister Nina's Kitchen, launched her catering business using the entrepreneur skills she developed through the Women with Disabilities Entrepreneurship Project. This two-year multi-regional project connects women with disabilities with microenterprise training to start their own small business. Clients of Sister Nina's Kitchen receive a personal chef service that provides meals on a weekly basis. While receiving TANF, Evelyn searched for opportunities to achieve self-sufficiency. Through determination and hard work, she completed the course, started her own catering business, and went on to receive the Georgia Microenterprise Network's first Microentrepreneur Award.
