Senator Boxer: Get Involved in Public Lands Day
September 27, 2007
Saturday, September 29th marks National Public Lands Day. On this day, the National Park Service offers free visitor admission at our National Parks. Besides free entrance, many National Parks will offer special programs and volunteer work activities to commemorate the 14th annual National Public Lands Day. As an incentive to get people involved, anyone who volunteers at an organized National Park Service event on National Public Lands Day will receive a free one day pass valid for future use at any site.
National Public Lands Day is intended to let Americans learn more about the environmental and natural resources found on public land, to build partnerships to help enhance and restore America's public lands and to improve our public lands for outdoor recreation. I encourage you to get involved with this effort.

Sincerely,
Barbara Boxer
United States Senator
