Cotton harvest reached 65 percent, only slightly behind the 5-year average. Cotton remaining in the field was in good condition. Sorghum producers finished harvesting their fields. Soybean harvest reached 90 percent, well ahead of the 5-year average of 72 percent. Sugarcane producers were busy harvesting their crops, while sugarcane planting was near completion. Sweet potato producers were harvesting their fields. Fruits, Vegetables and Specialty Crops Vegetable producers were working fall crops. Citrus producers were getting ready to harvest. Livestock, Pasture and Range Report Cattlemen were getting ready to plant ryegrass. Pasture was in need of rainfall to get the winter forage off to a good start. Cattlemen were also marketing spring born calves. Livestock conditions were generally good, with 60 percent in good to excellent condition.
