| OBJECTIVES |
| Grants are awarded to: (1) make polling places, including the path of travel, entrances, exits, and voting areas of each polling facility, accessible to individuals with the full-range of disabilities (e.g., blindness or visual impairment, deafness or hearing impairment, mobility-related, dexterity-related, emotional or intellectual); (2) provide the same opportunity for access and participation (including privacy and independence) to individuals with the full-range of disabilities; (3) train election officials, poll workers, and election volunteers on how best to promote the access and participation of individuals with the full-range of disabilities in elections for Federal office; and (4) provide individuals with the full- range of disabilities with information about the accessibility of polling places. |

| Preapplication Coordination |
| The standard application form, Standard Form 424 must be used for this program. Forms are available on the website, http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/add/announce.htm. This program is eligible for coverage under E.O. 12372, "Intergovernmental Review of Federal Programs." An applicant should consult the office or official designated as the single point of contact in his or her State for more information on the process the State requires to be followed in applying for assistance. |

| Formula and Matching Requirements |
| The statistical factor used for fund distribution is the population age 18 and over in each State. No State will receive less than $100,000. There is no matching requirement. |

| Grants are awarded annually. |
| Reports |
| Annual program and annual financial status reports are required. |
| Audits |
| Audits are conducted in accordance with the requirements of 45 CFR Parts 74 and 92. |
| Records |
| Records must be retained for at least 3 years; records shall be retained beyond the 3-year period if all findings have not been resolved. |
