About Us

The Women's Health Program is part of the Women's and Reproductive Health Section in the Office of Family Health.

What we do:

The Women's Health Program promotes women's health across the lifespan. We assess the health and health needs of women in Oregon and promote programs that increase awareness of women's health issues among the public, researchers, educators and health care professionals.

Our current projects include:
  • Rape Prevention Education - working to prevent sexual violence before it occurs.
  • Women's Health Coordinating Council - working with internal and external partners to better understand and improve health services available to women throughout the state.
  • Oregon SafeNet - expanding the toll-free hotline (1-800-SafeNet) to include health and information referral for all women throughout Oregon regardless of age or health care need.
  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Surveillance and Prevention Project
