Historic Hurricane Season Not Over Yet

While the historic hurricane season of 2005 is nearing its official end, FEMA encourages residents of hurricane-prone states to remain vigilant, replenishing their emergency supplies of food and water for at least 72 hours. The 24th named storm of the season, Tropical Strom Gamma, is currently churning in the Atlantic Ocean with an uncertain forecast track but the possibility of making U.S. landfall as early as Monday, November 21. Residents should take this opportunity to be prepared with 'go kits,' make communications plans and know evacuation routes. Residents should listen closely to local and state officials.
