As she stated at her confirmation hearing, "we must use American diplomacy to help create a balance of power in the world that favors freedom. The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy headed to the Arctic Ocean this summer for two cruises to map the seafloor of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles. This was the fourth summer that the U.S. has collected data in support of defining the extended continental shelf in the Arctic Ocean.
