Rep. Doris Matsui Announces Opportunity to Send Holiday Cards to Service Men and Women

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Doris Matsui (CA-05) announced that the American Red Cross has partnered with Pitney Bowes to deliver personal holiday cards to wounded service members nationwide. She encourages the people of the Sacramento region to voice their support with a holiday greeting to the men and women who have sacrificed to protect the United States of America.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to let the men and women of our Armed Services know that we support them, and are very thankful for the sacrifices that they have made. I encourage my constituents to take a few moments to express their gratitude and send a holiday message," said Rep. Matsui.

Holiday cards and notes can be mailed to:

For security reasons, only cards and notes will be accepted. All cards received by Dec. 27, 2007 will be sent to recovering men and women in military hospitals around the country.

"My heart is with the men and women of our armed services this holiday season. I wish them all a safe end to the year," said Rep. Matsui.

"While my constituents support our service members with their thoughts and prayers, I will continue to work to honor them in Congress. We have made landmark investments in veterans programs this year, and we will continue to do so next year," said Rep. Matsui.
