Information Management The CIO has the responsibility to ensure that Departmental information resources and activities are managed in an efficient, effective, secure and economical manner in compliance with Federal laws and other applicable rules, regulations, and guidance. This includes responsibility for implementation guidance relating to laws and Federal regulations applicable to Information Resources, and assigns responsibilities at the departmental and agency levels for compliance.
