Wireless friendly format (RSS/XML) alerts and current conditions are now available on an experimental basis.

A new Interactive Weather Planner has been added.

Our homepage has been moved over to the new server. As a result, most subpage addresses have changed. If you have any questions or comments about this please e-mail me.

Our homepage will soon need to be moved over to a new server in order to handle an expected increase in traffic, and to provide better service. The target date for this changeover is October 1, 2004. In the meantime there might be some brief interruptions in some online services as some portions are moved over to the new server.

The Models Page has been improved. Information for the current and past run of the NGM as well as the current and past three runs of the ETA and GFS are now available. ETA Guidance is now available out to 84 hours and GFS Guidance is now available out to 384 hours.

Our online digital grids page is now up and running.

October 28, 2002

The Spanish version of our page is now online. We will have Spanish versions of many of the subpages up and running in the coming months.

August 9, 2002

Graphical forecasts are now available for the Central California Interior.

June 25, 2002

A new page has been created for past significant weather events across the Central California Interior.

June 19, 2002

The subpages have been converted to the new nationally standardized format. ETA model guidance is now available out to 60 hours.

April 11, 2002

Daily normals for Merced and Madera are now available.

April 2, 2002

The fire weather page was updated to include the new product identifiers.

February 26, 2002

The standardized page format is now official. Several bugs have been worked out, and the subpages will slowly be converted to the new format.

January 1, 2002

We have moved to the new nationally standardized page format. Both the standard and java pages have now been combined into a single page. Our text page has been moved here. The page does have some lingering bugs and we are working diligently to fix them. Please be patient. David

A new pop-up menu has replaced the old pull down menus on both the standard and java pages in order to make the page more user friendly. Several satellite links have been updated with the correct links.

100 Degree Day statistics are now available for Fresno and Bakersfield.

More real time radar data is now available. The following products are now available: 0.5 Degree Base Reflectivity (long and short range), Composite Reflectivity (long and short range), One Hour Precipitatation and Storm Total Precipitation.
