ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Franklin County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) located at the East Point Volunteer Fire Department, 24 6th Street in East Point, will end operations at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26.

“The steadily declining daily visits to this DRC are a sign that the recovery process is well underway and individuals in this area have received the help provided by the center,” said Federal Coordinating Officer Justin DeMello of the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. “The State Emergency Response Team – SERT – and FEMA continue to monitor DRC activity and remain committed to providing applicants with the services they need.”
