Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN - was founded to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living, to improve agricultural productivity, and to better the condition of rural populations.

Forest Landowners Association, Inc. - was formed to provide a voice for Southern forest landowners on national and regional issues.  It follows every piece of legislation appearing before Congress that affects forestry.

Fund for Rural America - addresses the most pressing needs in rural America and improving the quality of life for the people who live there.

International City/County Management Association - a professional and educational organization, represents appointed managers and administrators in local governments throughout the world.

Land Trust Alliance - promotes voluntary land conservation and strengthens the land trust movement by providing the leadership, information, skills, and resources land trusts need to conserve land for the benefit of communities and natural systems.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation - is a national intermediary that channels grants, investments, and technical support to community development corporations rebuilding neighborhoods and rural areas throughout the country.

National Arbor Day Foundation - helps promote tree care and conservation, and to educate people on tree issues.

National Association of Development Organizations - provides training, information and representation for regional development organizations in small metropolitan and rural America. The association, a public interest group founded in 1967, is the largest and leading advocate for a regional approach to community, economic and rural development and provides a network for its members to share ideas and innovations.

National Center for Small Communities - serves the leaders of America’s smaller communities. The mission of the NCSC is to provide small town decision makers with the tools to govern effectively and the skills to expand local economies, protect natural resources and preserve community character. 

National Endowment for the Arts - provides funding to new and existing partnerships to integrate the arts more fully into all aspects of community life.

National Envirothon - is a multi-disciplinary, environmental problem-solving program culminating in an annual series of competitions for high school student teams.

National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council - supports education, projects, and groups related to urban and community forestry.

Project Learning Tree - is an interdisciplinary environmental education program for educators working with students in preK through grade 12.  PLT helps students gain awareness and knowledge of the natural and built environment, their place within it, as well as their responsibility for it.

Project Wet - facilitates and promotes awareness, appreciation, knowledge and stewardship of water resources through the development and dissemination of classroom ready teaching aids and through the establishment of state and internationally sponsored Project Wet programs.

Society of American Foresters - is the national scientific and educational organization representing the forestry profession in the United States.  Founded in 1900 by Gifford Pinchot, the first Chief of the Forest Service, it is the largest professional society for foresters in the world.

Tree Link - provides information, research, and networking for people working in urban and community forestry.

Treetures - Treetures characters are guides that help children learn all about the way a tree functions and how important trees, plant life, birds, animals, and insects are to keeping the  earth healthy.  They are teaching tools that use fantasy to explain scientific facts.

Wood in Transportation National Information Center - Demonstrates and transfers modern timber bridge technology that can be used in a full range of transportation applications to improve the Nation's transportation infrastructure.

Wood Transportation Structures Research - Provides readily accessible current information related to wood transportation structures research, including the research needs assessment, a current research summary, and research publications.

Yale Plant Key for Trees - is an electronic curriculum from Yale University to explore the particulars and peculiars of the plant species of the northeast.

Redlodge Clearinghouse - a resource to support, nurture, and connect collaborative natural resource groups working to resolve conflicts for the long-term health of the land. Their website provides groups access to information and resources that can assist them in achieving their goals.
