  1. What is FedRooms®?

    FedRooms® is the source for hotel accommodations for federal travelers on transient and extended stay and has been streamlined and enhanced for greater efficiency. The governmentwide lodging program is policy and FEMA compliant, offers hotel rooms at or below per diem rates, provides direct hotel access through our official website, fedrooms.com, and offers our stakeholders a staffed help desk for any program related questions.

  2. How can hotels participate in FedRooms®?

    If you are a hotel and would like to participate in FedRooms®, please go to our website, fedrooms.com, or contact the FedRooms® Help Desk at (800) 226-1741.

  3. Who is eligible to use FedRooms® properties?

    FedRooms® rates are for federal government and military personnel on official TDY business travel ONLY. Contact your Travel Management Center (TMC) or Contracted Travel Office (CTO) and ask for the FedRooms® rate under the program booking code "XVU" (Xtra Value for yoU). Site vistors can also search our FedRooms® access tool at fedroomssearch.com, for participating hotels. Contractors to the federal government and military, retired civilian and retired military employes as well as current civilian and military employees on personal leave are only eligible for FedRooms® rates if the participating hotel approves. FedRooms® hotels are allowed to make a case-by-case decision on whether or not to offer FedRooms® rates and room to the above group of travelers.   4. How do I book the FedRooms® rate?

    FedRooms® rates are available through all booking channels: All major Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Fedrooms.com, your agency's online E-Gov Travel booking tool, travel agencies (TMC/CTO) and be calling a participating hotel directly and ASKING for the FedRooms® rate.

  5. Will my travel agent know where to find a list of FedRooms® preferred hotels?

    Yes. But if they do not, travel agents can access a list of FedRooms® preferred hotels from the GSA website or contacting the FedRooms® preferred hotels from the GSA website or by contacting the FedRooms® Help Desk at (800) 226-1741. Travel agents and online booking tools may also search the GDS for the FedRooms® rate access code of "XVU."

  6. What if my travel agent or I have a problem getting the FedRooms® preferred hotel rate?

    If you have already contacted the hotel's reservations department and asked for the FedRooms® rate, you may call the FedRooms® Help Desk at (800) 226-1741.
