Career Transition CenterThe Career Transition Center (CTC) provides training, counseling, job leads, and other assistance to U.S. citizen employees of the Department of State and other federal foreign affairs agencies who are leaving USG service.
COURSES The CTC conducts two flagship programs: the Job Search Program and the Retirement Planning Workshop, which lasts four days. Two parts of the four-part Retirement Planning Workshop can be taken separately:
NEW! Additionally, a third program has been added for those who are 10 to 15 years away from retirement. The Mid-Career Retirement Planning Course will be offered for the first time in February.
OTHER SERVICES The CTC also provides several other job search services for its clients:
- A monthly newsletter that provides advice and information on job search techniques
- Job leads compiled from numerous sources
- Three job fairs annually with private sector and non-profit employers
