Alex Hall, 10, arrives at the Pentagon and gives a "five" to Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Navy Adm. Edmund Giambastiani, April 27, 2006. Alex, from Ames, Iowa, wished to visit Washington, D.C., and as a result the "Make a Wish Foundation" arranged an exclusive tour for him and his family that included a police escort to the White House, the Capitol, the Pentagon and other locations within the district. Alex and his 7-year-old brother, Shade, have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Defense Dept. photo by U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. D. Myles Cullen |
