In the News FORT Scientists Lead Symposia at International Herp Congress For the 6th World Congress of Herpetology, held Aug. 17-22 in Manaus, Brazil, FORT scientists Bob Reed and Erin Muths organized symposia on invasive reptiles and amphibians (Reed) and disease and amphibian declines (Muths). Co-organizers with Dr. Muths were Trenton W.J. Garner (Zoological Society of London) and Jean-Marc Hero (Griffith University, Australia); Dr. Reed worked with Fred Kraus (Bishop Museum, Honolulu). Drs. Reed, Muths, and FORT zoologist Gordon Rodda also presented papers on these topics. The objectives of the Congress are to promote international interest, collaboration, and cooperation in herpetological issues. |
