Medical and Clinical Services
Enable's Medical and Clinical services are available to children and adults who may have disabilities.
A team of professionals performs an evaluation of each child. The team includes several doctors, a psychologist, a therapist, a speech pathologist, and a social worker.
Collaborative Therapies
Enable provides occupational, physical, and speech therapy services.
- Assessments
Individuals evaluated based on specific therapy.
- Ongoing services
Clinic based therapy for improvement and preventive approaches.
- Consultations
Provide screenings and recommendations as needed.
- Follow-up visits
Monitor recommendations and discharge plans.
- Adaptive Equipment
Enable can design and build custom equipment, modify commercial equipment, and provide environmental assessments.
- Information/Resource
Training and in-services are available for informational purposes and to answer any questions that may arise.
Assistive Technology Program
Enable's Assistive Technology Program helps children and adults with disabilities to use technology. Enable can provide technology that can be used at home, school and/or work.
- Augmentative Communication
Enable's communication equipment ranges from a variety of boards with pictures, to speaking devices.
- Computer Access & Training
Enable can help identify the right computer system, specialized equipment, and software.
Aquatic Therapy Program
People with disabilities or pain will benefit from the therapeutic qualities of water. The Aquatic Team utilizes techniques and programs that are designed to meet each individual's needs.
Referrals
Referrals are accepted from various sources. Sources include families, service coordinators, physicians, day habilitation programs, work programs, schools, therapists, and other human service agencies.
Cost
Enable does charge for its services. Enable can help individuals find and obtain funding. Enable accepts Medicaid, private insurance, VESID funding, as well as other funding sources.
Enable is an affiliate of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State and a member of the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
