International Market Insights (IMIs)

International Market Insights (IMIs) is a compilation of development projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It is released monthly to alert U.S. firms of new consulting services projects under the ADB Technical Assistance (TA) programs. Technical Assistance is used to prepare and implement projects and support advisory and regional activities of the bank.

IMI January 2008

Thrity-one proposed and new projects amounting to $ 1.95 billion are included in this report. The $120 million Emergency Disaster Damage Rehabilitation (Sector) Project granted loan to Bangladesh is the largest. It will procure 88 person-months (pm) of international and 1,786 pm of national consulting services to implement the project. Click here.

IMI February 2008

This includes 14 new projects and technical assistance (TAs) from China, Mongolia, Regional, and Vietnam. The projects and TAs amounted to $ 197 million. China's $ 150 million Chongqing-Lichuan Railway is the largest. It will procure 10 person-months of international consulting services and related goods. Click here.

Twenty-nine new and proposed loan projects and TA programs totaling to $1.18 billion are included in this report. While report covers all Asian regions; sectors included are agriculture and natural resources, education, energy, environment, health, transportation and communications, as well as industry, finance and others. Thirty new and proposed projects are included, totalling to $1.36 billion. Pakistan's loan for MFF-Karachi Mega City Sustainable Development Investment Program (Facility Concept) is the largest with $ 800 million.
