GSA Order ADM 5440.606 establishes the new Office of Management Services which reports directly to the Chief of Staff. The organization was created to consolidate agencywide administrative responsibilities in addition to operations and contracting for the GS Building. The new Office of Management Services will consist of the following divisions:
Administrative Policy – Establishes and administers administrative policy for fleet, mail, internal GSA space, personal property, environmental issues, records management, directives, and the Freedom of Information Act.
Executive Secretariat – Processes congressional correspondence and correspondence for the Administrator.
Operations – Manages logistics, operations and budget related to administrative services to staff in the GS Building including space management, personal property management, the fitness center, auditorium, and loading dock management. Additionally, this division will work with the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Protective Service to coordinate building security measures and will work closely with the Office of Emergency Response and Recovery with regard to emergency response and recovery with the GS Building.
Central Office Contracting – Manages the contracting and purchasing and associated procedures and process for the GM&A offices in Central Office.
