Many of the electronic resources to which the NIST Research Library subscribes require a license agreement. The agreement outlines the terms and conditions in which the resources can be used and accessed. Some of the common restrictions include access only to NIST researchers and staff, as well as visitors while on the NIST campus; printing excessive amounts of any portion of a database or ejournal; and using the resources for non-commercial purposes, i.e., research, educational or personal. Databases

Databases contain access to bibliographic and full text information as well as numerical and property data. Arrangement is alphabetical by title and also by general subject. Included are several premium databases that are site-licensed and restricted to NIST employees only. Full-text databases are indicated with an asterisk (*).
