Technology
  
The Nevada Department of Education promotes the use of technology to facilitate student learning through teacher training and ongoing communication among students and staff. The Nevada State Educational Technology Plan lists four goals for achieving this end.

Goals

  • The technology infrastructure supports appropriate access for all students and teachers, regardless of their geographic location;
  • High-quality content materials are available to support a standards-based curriculum;
  • Integration of technology into the new standards-based curriculum is achieved through a strong professional development program; and
  • Timely technical support is available for teachers, students and staff.
