North Atlantic Right Whales

Humpback Whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) are the most energetic of the large whales and are identified by their unique tail flukes. Click for more information.

Loggerhead Sea Turtles (Caretta caretta)and other threatened and endangered sea turtles forage in NW Atlantic waters during the summer and fall months. Click for more information

Harbor Seals (Phoca vitulina) are a steadily growing pinniped population along the north Atlantic coast. Click for more information

Harbor Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) Gulf of Maine/Bay of Fundy population estimate has increased after implementation of a Take Reduction Plan.
