Barnett Rattner Recipient of 2007 SETAC Government Services Award From a news release dated 10/16 - The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry announced that Dr. Barnett Rattner is the recipient of the 2007 SETAC Government Service Award. Dr. Rattner is a research scientist at Patuxent undertaking research on a wide range of issues in wildlife toxicology. The announcement cited Dr. Rattner's work developing protocols to evaluate the environmental safety of metal substitutes for lead used in hunting, his representation of the Department on various advisory groups, and his Contaminants Exposure and Effects-Terrestrial Vertebrates database which has been used widely in ecological risk assessment.
