observance and in celebration marking a century of flight in 2003,
Goddard News features a historical NASA flight tidbit. This Month
in History: On July 28, 1964 - Ranger 7 was launched. Ranger
7 sucessfully achieved lunar impact trajectory and transmitted high-resolution
photographs of the lunar surface.
