The DBTAC Southwest ADA Center (Southwest DBTAC) is the Southwest's leading resource on the Americans with Disabilities Act and related disability rights laws.
The DBTAC is one of ten Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTACs) funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
The DBTAC serves a wide range of audiences who are interested in or impacted by these laws, including employers, businesses, government agencies, schools and people with disabilities. Expert staff members are available to provide training and publications and to respond to your inquiries via the toll free hotline 800-949-4232!
The DBTAC provides three core services — technical assistance, training and materials dissemination. Activities designed to carry out the mission in Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana are facilitated through the home office in Houston, TX as well as affiliations and partnerships.
The DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is a program of ILRU (Independent Living Research Utilization), at Memorial Hermann | TIRR in Houston, Texas. The DBTAC is funded by a grant (#H133D60012) from the Department of Education's National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research ( NIDRR). NIDRR is not an enforcement agency.
