License, Document, or Certificate of Registry - Engineering Officers Licenses

     When going through the process of obtaining a license as an Engineering Officer there are many qualifications you will be required to complete. These qualifications can include criteria such as drug testing, oaths, training, sea service, practical demonstrations, and examinations. Additionally, each category of vessels may have differing levels of qualifications.

     To access information about the qualifications specific to your vessel type, go the appropriate listing below and review any Information Package and/or Checklist below.

ALL Applications and Fees must be submitted to the nearest USCG Regional Exam Center for processing.
Failure to follow these guidelines will delay the processing of your application.

Application Status: you can check the status of your current Application for Merchant Mariner Document (MMD), License, or Certificate of Registry (Form CG-719B).
