The van located in Sundance is utilized for transporting individuals to medical appointments, shopping and some fun type trips. This van is called our countywide van as it picks up individuals anywhere within Crook County and takes them to their appointments in SD, Gillette, WY, etc.It was back in 1974, when the Sundance seniors began their program at the Fair Grounds Event Center by carrying in food. As time went by and the program began growing and grant monies became available the seniors ventured out and purchased a site for a senior center with donations and fundraisers. Eventually the seniors in Moorcroft and Hulett became interested and wanted to be included in this program. It was in 1997, when the Board of Directors renamed the program - Crook County Senior Services, Inc. - in order that everyone felt included in the countywide program.
