TSA Announces Departure of Key Program Director

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced that Justin P. Oberman, Assistant Director for Transportation Threat Assessment and Credentialing will leave the agency next month to return to the private sector. During his tenure with TSA, Oberman led major agency initiatives including Secure Flight and Registered Traveler. He was also responsible for programs impacting the commercial aviation, general aviation, trucking, and maritime industries.

TSA Director Kip Hawley said of Oberman’s departure from TSA, “Since the early days of TSA, Justin has contributed in many ways to the legacy of this agency. His dedication and leadership have served TSA well and will take him far in his future endeavors.”

Oberman will be replaced by Stephanie Rowe. Rowe joins TSA with more than 15 years of business consulting experience for private and public sector clients at Accenture, LLP, where she is currently a Senior Executive.  While at Accenture, Rowe helped clients execute growth strategies, redesign core business processes, improve employee productivity and performance, and communicate with external and internal stakeholders.  

Rowe has performed critical consulting and advisory roles in support of several DHS programs, including Secure Flight and US-VISIT.
