Our mission is to prevent terrorist attacks and protect our transportation network, and this involves more than simply screening passengers at airports. Our work encompasses all sectors of transportation from container ships in our harbors, to trucks on our highways, to commuter trains in our subways. Often what we do, how we approach our work, and our position on important security issues is misunderstood, which leads to concerns about our ability to fulfill our challenging mission.
