Atlas of the Body
Non-Federal Website: A service of the American Medical Association, the Atlas of the Body provides basic illustrations of human organs and systems: Body/Torso, Brain, Breast, Circulatory System, Digestive System, Ear, Endocrine System, Female Reproductive System, Hand, Muscles, Nervous System, Respiratory System, Skeleton, Skin, and Urinary System. Brief descriptions accompany each illustration and include the source of the graphic (Current Procedural Terminology, for example). Illustrations may be emailed or printed.

Health Care Services, Public Health
State Health Notes
Non-Federal Website: Published every other Monday by the National Conference of State Legislatures, State Health Notes is a free electronic newsletter of news and analyses of state health-care issues. Recent topics include the decrease in number of uninsured Americans, the State Children's Health Insurance Program, an increase in the number of measles cases, and the need for more primary care providers to serve rural and low-income residents. The newsletter website offers a search function and a list of topics for browsing.

Public Health
Disaster Information Management Research Center
Available from the National Library of Medicine, this website provides access to quality disaster health information to the nation at all stages of preparation, response, mitigation, and recovery. It collects, organizes, and disseminates health information for natural, accidental, or deliberate disasters. The resources and informatics research are directly beneficial for public health officials, healthcare providers, special populations, and the public.
