Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: I paid PTI $595 in Nov. 2001 for preliminary patent search. In December of 2001, I paid PTI $9,070 in approx. 120 days after payment for full patent program payment. They were to appoint an attorney to perform a patent study and submission of application for a patent. As years passed, in spite of my complaints to PTI, no attorney contacted me. Once I was able to contact redacted, he informed me that it was not his responsibility to check the progress of my project. They have failed to respond to phone calls, letters and faxes. In July and August of 2004 I mailed two different certified letters to PTI demanding they refund my money and return my artwork and files on my project. In the certified letters I reminded them that they have not me the time requirements as outlined in our contract agreement. I also informed them that I was seeking legal counsel to settle this matter. Shortly after this I received a letter from a redacted stating that PTI had engaged his services for a patent study and application for patent of my invention. I sent him a letter inquiring as to his connection to PTI. I also informed him that I found his name on a watch list. I received a letter from Mr. redacted refusing to represent me. I faxed his letter to PTI. As of this date I have not received refund from PTI. I have no idea if they have ruined my chances to ever obtaining a patent.
