Dear Sir or Madam:

This letter serves to respond to a recent complaint by our former client, Vernesia Womack, dated April 7, 2006 and received by this office on May 31, 2006.

Please be advised that Ms. Womack originally contracted with Invent-Tech to prepare an Invention Research Portfolio about her Pen Lite concept in 1998, approximately eight years ago.  Her contract amount was $545 but she only paid us a total of $295 and has never made any subsequent attempt to pay her remaining balance in order to start the work on her invention.

In her complaint, she states that she called in last year to check on the “status” of her project, which is laughable given the many years of non-activity on her part.  She then goes on to insinuate that Invent-Tech was somehow responsible for her idea appearing in the marketplace, which we categorically deny and has absolutely no basis in fact, whatsoever.

Ultimately, in the interest of good faith, Invent-Tech has elected to send Ms. Womack a refund of her $295 since she never paid the balance and no work was ever completed for her.  However, we take great exception to her filing this complaint about our handling of this matter as it was clearly because of her own failure to pay her contractual balance that no work was ever completed on her behalf.

We thank you for the opportunity to respond to this peculiar and baseless “complaint” and greatly appreciate this forum giving voice to the facts of the matter.

Very truly yours,

/s/ Brian McLeod
