WHAT IS YOUR COMPLAINT?

Name of mass media invention promoter advertised in: I received their flyer in US Mail

Invention promotion services offered to be performed: Research of invention including provisional patent, design, marketing and production

Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: Davison Inventegration and redacted (Director of New Products) stated to me that if I paid them $685 they would research my invention, design my invention, market my invention to a vast network of manufacturers that they had a direct line of communication with and they would cover the provisional patent.  So I sent them $200.  I then found out they were under investigation with the FTC since 1997 and that there were numerous complaints regarding Davison charging $685 up front and then charge thousands after that.  When I confronted Davison about those allegations, redacted stated, “I must have misunderstood your question”.  I had already placed the remaining $485 in the mail but cancelled the check.  The problem I now have is that they now have my invention idea and I am greatly concerned that they will use it or sell it to a manufacturer.  Please help!!
