Serve Guam! Commission (SGC) , Governor's Commission on National & Community Service, announces the availability of AmeriCorps grants for the 2008-2009 program year, Funding will be available for innovative programs that use service as a strategy to address compelling community needs in the areas of education , environment, public safety, homeland security , and other unmet human needs, Non-profit and faith-based organizations and government programs are encouraged to apply as a potential AmeriCorps program,

All potential applicants are encouraged to attend the scheduled island-wide Community Outreach Session:

SGC provides technical assistance to applicants in a Request for Proposal (RFP) Technical Assistance Workshop, The Technical Assistance Workshop will review the key elements of completing a Proposal with potential applicants,
