Welcome to the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind - the world's most comprehensive education, rehabilitation and employment system serving children and adults who are deaf, blind and multidisabled. With five campuses and nine regional centers throughout the state, AIDB has been investing in the lives of thousands of infants, toddlers, children, adults and seniors who are challenged by hearing and vision loss for 150 years.

Currently, the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind is celebrating its 150thanniversary. Since 1858, AIDB has been a leader in education and rehabilitation services for Alabama’s sensory impaired children and adults.
