Remarks: After encountering lost circulation while drilling ahead, a gas kick occurred. Gas and mud were diverted overboard. The well was secured within 15 minutes. The crew pumped 1275 barrels of 9.0 mud down the drill pipe, and 395 barrels of sea water down the annulus. The annulus stayed full with o psi on the annulus and 20 to 30 psi on the drill pipe.
