- FIRST Regional Robotics Competition Kicks Off March 27
- Governor Lingle and Lt. Governor Aiona will welcome 12 teams from the U.S. mainland and 25 Hawai`i teams to the inaugural FIRST in Hawai`i Regional Robotics Competition on March 27-29.

- Governor Lingle released funds for the construction of a new Kohala Public Library. Currently, this area of the Big Island is only served by the Bond Memorial Library, a converted house that is just 1,610 square feet.
