   This proceeding arises under the employee protection provisions of section 405 of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 ("STAA"), 49 U.S.C. §31105, and the implementing regulations at 29 C.F.R. Part 1978. On December 21, 2000, the Complainant, Anthony Medeiros, the Respondent, Trans-Lease Group, and the Prosecuting Party submitted the attached settlement agreement and a joint motion to approve settlement agreement.

   Upon review, I find that the settlement appears to be fair, adequate, reasonable, and voluntarily entered into by the parties who are represented by counsel. Accordingly, the settlement agreement is approved pursuant to 29 C.F.R. §1978.111(d)(2), and the complaint filed in this matter is dismissed.
