Guity v. Tennessee Valley Authority, 90-ERA-10 (ALJ Nov. 7, 1991)

U.S. Department of Labor
Office of Administrative Law Judges
525 Vine Street, Suite 900
Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

Date Issued: NOV 07 1991
Case No. 90-ERA-10

In the Matter of

MANSOUR GUITY
    Complainant

    versus

TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY
    Respondent

ORDER

On January 25, 1991, I granted a Joint Motion for Continuance of this case which was filed by both Complainant and Respondent. The case had been scheduled for hearing for April 30, 1991 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The continuance was granted because of mental problems which were being experienced by Mansour Guity. The parties represented that a trial of this case would not be appropriate under the circumstances involved at that time and that it should be continued until ninety (90) days following the conclusion of another case between the same parties which had been scheduled for trial in the U.S. District Court. Both parties agreed in their Joint Motion to notify me when the District Court matter has been scheduled for trial or dismissed without trial.

IT IS ORDERED that both parties to this proceeding, no later than ten (10) days from the date of receipt of this Order, shall apprise the Court as to the present status of both the mental health condition of Mansour Guity and also as to the current status of the case pending in the U.S. District Court.
