The Research Planning Team consists of 13 members from across the Center's divisions and scientific areas of expertise. The Team was created to help ensure that forward-thinking, creative, and relevant areas of scientific thought are incorporated into the Center's research programs and that the Center's many research efforts are well-integrated. The Team will conduct a gap analysis of work at the Center and scientific needs external to the Center. The Team will communicate progress and concerns to Center management and divisions; develop proposals that fill gaps and address needed areas of research; develop proposals to integrate ongoing and proposed research; and plan and implement a Center-wide Science Retreat.
