The Agricultural Research Service and the U. S. Vegetable Laboratory continually looks for opportunities to partner with private sector businesses, other government agencies, and universities.  These partnerships are designed to augment research programs and expedite technology transfer to the private sector.

                     Caudill Seed Company agreement entitled “Identification and utilization of inbred, self-compatible broccoli lines that produce high yields of uniform seed.”

 

                     Western Seed Multiplication, Inc. agreement entitled “Evaluation and multiplication of advanced pinkeye-type southernpea breeding lines with enhanced persistent green seed phenotypes.”

 

Plant Variety Protection Certificates

 

                     PVP No. 9700286 for ‘Charleston Greenpack’ southernpea issued February 9, 2001.  Marketing rights for the new variety are licensed by ARS to Western Seed Multiplication, Inc.

 

                     PVP No. 9900074 for ‘Petite-N-Green’ southernpea issued February 9, 2001.  Marketing rights for the new variety are licensed by ARS to Western Seed Multiplication, Inc.
