Falcon School District 49 educates 11,004 K-12 students across 14 school buildings. School District 49 has assessed the energy performance of 86% of its schools and undertaken major energy efficiency improvements. District schools have achieved an average 25 point improvement in energy efficiency. District 49 has installed a district-wide building automation system, high efficiency lighting and occupancy sensors, electric to gas heating conversions, condensing boilers, high-efficiency motors, and daylighting concepts. Even with buildings at 140% of capacity, the district is still achieving energy savings.
