GS-625: Autopsy Assistant Series

Use these individual occupational requirements in conjunction with
the"Group Coverage Qualification Standard for
Technical and Medical Support Positions."
Experience in work
such as an autopsy assistant, morgue attendant, surgical assistant, laboratory assistant, or
embalmer's assistant that provided a knowledge of human anatomy, skill in identifying or using
surgical instruments, and knowledge of aseptic techniques.

For GS-3: |
Successful completion of l year of study with at least 6 semester hours in courses such as
biology, human anatomy, physiology, or zoology that included laboratory work. |
Applicants may substitute successfully completed training in the Armed Forces that included the
subjects of human anatomy, veterinary anatomy, or physiology for up to 3 months of general
experience.
